Zachary’s best friend Isabelle is convinced aliens are on Earth. She leads Zachary to an apartment where she believes aliens are living. It turns out to be their school teacher Mr Raffles’s apartment! Embarrassed, Zachary goes back to Raffles’ apartment to apologize, only to encounter a secret Raffles is hiding – with the arrival of 2 other aliens, Leonardo and Neela from the planet Zetabia.

Raffles is appalled at the idea of Zetabia invading Earth. He refuses to cooperate with Leonardo and Neela in returning to Zetabia. Returning without him would mean failing their mission so they attempt to transport him against his will. But their ship’s computer has developed an attitude problem and refuses to transport anyone. To their horror they realise they’re trapped here on Earth.

Now that Neela and Leonardo are trapped here on Earth, Zachary and Raffles need to take them clothes shopping! They explain to the aliens the importance of not attracting attention and trying to appear as normal as possible, just as Raffles has done on Earth. However the aliens attract the attention of their nosy neighbour Mrs Chandrasekar, who invites herself into the apartment to snoop around.

Leonardo quizzes Zachary about school behaviour but his questions are mostly about how to embarrass at teacher. Sussing his plan, Zachary and Raffles point out that he'll draw the authorities' attention to himself before Raffles. He’ll be revealed as an alien! Leonardo realises his mistake. But it’s too late – he can't unenroll. He's going to have to go to school!

It is Leonardo's first day at school and Zachary reminds Leonardo NOT to draw attention to himself or use his alien powers. Leonardo is supremely confident his Space Force training - his "maximo smarts" -will see him master the situation. Mr Han, the school Principal, meets Leonardo and decides, much to Raffles's horror, that he would like to meet Leonardo's "mother" - Neela.

Zachary continues to try to wrangle Leonardo's attempts to blend in at school. Meanwhile, Raffles can't dissuade Mr Han from meeting Neela. He arrives back at the apartment ahead of Mr Han's visit - to find Neela has used her alien powers to accidentally make all the furniture disappear! Raffles struggles to distract Mr Han both from Neela's answers and the reappearing pieces of furniture.

Zachary suggests that Raffles takes everyone camping this weekend, mostly to give Zachary a break from them all. Unfortunately, both Raffles and Leonardo develop a toothache. They take an all-purpose Zetabian pain-killer, only to start turning blue literally. Raffles and Leonardo return to the apartment to discover that Neela has turned the living room into a camp-in.

The "campers" wake next morning to find they still have toothache... but that Neela has disappeared. Zachary and Raffles know she won't last a minute out in nature. They have to find her! After an unsuccessful search, Neela turns up again, having spent the night in comfort on the ship. She also has a device to help with the toothache..

Weiling, the Queen Bee of the alpha group in school, treats Zachary and Isabelle like odd-balls but is impressed by Leonardo. When she invites him to hang with her group, he abandons Zachary for his newly found popularity with Weiling's group. Back in the apartment, Neela becomes obsessed with daytime soap operas on television.

As Leonardo continues to hang with the alpha gang at school, excluding Zachary, Raffles tries to intervene. Meanwhile Neela's interest in TV drama takes a dive with her favourite character's wildly untimely demise on the show. Zachary thinks Leonardo may have learned something valuable about human behaviour. But Leonardo makes it clear - if anyone on this planet is superior, it's him.

Leonardo encounters the neighbour's pet Lovebird. Thinking this is an apex predator, he wants to mega-deionize it! Meanwhile, Neela discovers poetry from Mrs Chandrasekhar and it has inspired Neela to write one. Neela's first attempt at poetry did not go quite as planned and so Raffles suggested for Neela to write about her real feelings from the inside or so it seems..

Neela learns about make-up and enlisted the help of Ship to formulate an algorithm to put on make-up for her. Raffles however is not impressed with make-up, explaining that women do not require make-up. However she starts losing control of it. It rapidly gets progressively more garish!

Neela and Leonardo discover MUSIC! Zachary introduces musical instruments to Leonardo and he decides that he will be Earth's Greatest Trumpet Player. So now he needs promotional materials including a dancer. He sees Neela's rhythmless dancing and is convinced she is the best dancer he has ever seen! Now to film a music video. Zachary panics and tells Raffles that they are about to be exposed!

Spectacular Music Ians is launched and no one is watching it. Undefeated, Leonardo decides that the way to success is to get Chad Mando, the coolest kid in class, on the case. Sure enough, Chad to shares it on TikTok! Zachary realizes that this will attract enormous attention to the aliens and their weirdness! He urges Raffles to force the 2 aliens to take the video down.

Raffles has a day off and Neela doesn't understand the concept of humans having a rest day. She is suspicious. Neela investigating Raffles' behaviour and accidentally burns Raffles' eyeball with her magnifying glass! Meanwhile, it is Swim Day in school. Zetabia is a very dry planet with almost no water. Leonardo does not understand why humans would risk their lives by jumping into a tank of death.

Neela calls Zachary for help. Its Raffles' Birthday and she wants to give Raffles a good Zetabian birthday - like the Ceremony of the Four Moons! Neela also reveals Raffles' Zetabian name which takes 5 minutes just to say. Raffles is touched as no one has celebrated his birthday for more than a hundred years, even if Neela does set the birthday cake on fire!

It's International Women's Day and Zachary volunteers to bake Isabelle a cake to celebrate. Leonardo says no problem, he's the baking master, just point him to the baking machine. Zachary isn't so sure. At home, Neela has found out about International Woman's Day and realizes that she's a woman! Raffles tries to explain more, which leads to a broader discussion about other special days.

After the cake-baking fiasco, Leonardo decides he could be a successful Cake-preneuer. Leonardo hides away in the kitchen looking at the recipe books. By baking cakes. But of course, he's not going to do that baking. Ship is. In school, Mr Han has a favour to ask Raffles: what would Raffles suggest as a gift for a special someone? When Raffles asks who this special someone is, Mr Han gets cagey.

Leonardo discovers the book of world records and is determined to be one of those champions. Leonardo began to attempt various world records and with the help of Zachary. Meanwhile, Mr Hanis has taken the day off and asks Neela to go for a walk in the park. Neela is at the park with Mr Han and he seems very happy to be around her. Neela is shocked. Mr Han wants her as a girlfriend!?!

Neela is expressing dissatisfaction with being stuck in the apartment. She's done all the research into human behaviour and is ready to get out into the world. She decides she is getting a job! But Neela knows something that they don't. She has been in touch with Uncle Maxie from Zetabia and he's decided that he doesn't need 2 officers wrangling Raffles. One of them can return to Zetabia.

The departure of Leonardo hits Zachary even harder. Just then, he heard a strange beeping sound coming from Leonardo's desk and found a mysterious cube-like device. Leonardo left Zachary a Zetabian puzzle box as a gift. Meanwhile, it's Neela's first day at school and she's already hating it. Turns out she is still upset that Uncle Maxie chose Leonardo to return back to Zetabia instead of her.

A perfect quiet Saturday for Raffles to spend the day marking papers with no distractions. Or so he thought.. Mr Hanis comes carrying in his own papers and joins Raffles. Meanwhile, Neela and Zachary are at Science club assembling a potato and plans to use it to communicate with Leonardo. But to their horror, something went wrong with the communicator and they could not send Leonardo back!

Zachary and Isabelle are working on a video assignment for history. But Zachary's mind isn't quite on it. He's had a small falling-out with his parents. At Raffles' apartment, he tries to reassure Neela that being a bit human isn't a bad thing. But she couldn't disagree more. She need to do something really, really Zetabian. Raffles has an idea - they are going to visit Zetabia!

Zachary is amazed by the sights of Zetabia. The aliens relate some memories of life on Zetabia. He realises his parents are right about him not spending enough time at home. Meanwhile, the aliens bursts into the incredibly discordant Zetabian national anthem, but they're interrupted by Zachary's phone sounding. He sees it's Isabelle and he immediately remembers why he actually came here.
