Lin Tao, the Vice President of the Variety Department, has someone disguised as Yu Fan as a gimmick to boost ratings of the VBS Star Awards. Wei Yun is invited on stage to present an award to the Yu Fan-look-alike. Wei Yun is shocked to see Yu Fan. VBS星光大奖颁奖礼，综艺组高级副总裁林韬为搞噱头, 让人假扮余凡，还突然请薇芸上台，要她颁电视荣耀大奖给他。薇芸乍见去世的余凡现身台上，震惊不已，一时失态，后来才发现这个余凡是假的。

Wei Yun is transferred to the Drama department and ratings dip. The senior management employs Guan Xie En, an influential elite of the industry, to co-manage the Drama department with Wei Yun. Xie En's team brainstorms for new drama themes and secures both 7pm and 9pm primetime slots. Xiao Xiao discovers that their idea is plagiarised from hers and reports to Wei Yun. Wei Yun wants Xiao Xiao to produce another story of a different theme. 谢恩那一组开始构思新剧，不但有了7点档的节目，还抢下一个9点档，找了赞助商准备做一个30集的重头剧。小小发现谢恩那一组要用的概念是抄袭她的，把事情告诉薇芸，薇芸要小小马上想一个不同题材的新故事。

Jason's freelance actor is unable to make it for a filming. Lin Tao recommends his godson, Eddy, to take over the role. Eddy meets his mother, Xie En, at the TV station and recalls his younger days when his mother used to hit him. He has full of hatred for his mother. Xie En is very surprised and happy to see Eddy but is ignored by him. Jason拍摄的电视剧有个特约演员临时不能来，林韬得知，介绍干儿子Eddy来演出。Eddy在电视台巧遇母亲谢恩，回忆起童年时被母亲痛打的情景，对母亲充满怨恨。谢恩乍见儿子，惊喜不已，Eddy却对她视若无睹。

Fei Er is drunk and tells Jason that she still loves him. She shows him a photo of them in happier times. Jason is stunned and tells her that it is impossible for them to get back together. He asserts that he loves Tong Lin and they are getting married. Hearing that, Fei Er tears up the photo and throws it on the floor before stomping away. Jason picks up the photo and attempts to piece them together.

Tong Lin finds a photo of Jason and Fei'er. Jason sleep-talks and asks Fei'er to stay. This makes Tong Lin uncomfortable. She holds back a potential confrontation. Jason decides to forget about Fei'er for good. Wei Yun senses about Tong Lin's concerns over Jason's previous relationship. She tells Tong Lin not to overthink things. 彤琳在Jason口袋中发现他和非儿的亲密合照，Jason还说梦话叫非儿别走，彤琳感疑惑，挣扎着是否要向Jason查问照片的事，但最后没有机会开口。Jason则决定把非儿的事情忘记。

Xie En is vexed over the lack of new concepts. She stumbles upon a story written by an uprising online novelist, Zi Huai and decides to buy the rights to it. She goes to convince Yi Ming to take the role of the male lead and lies that she has already bought the rights. Xie En meets Zi Huai to strike a deal. Zi Huai states that she is not comfortable with someone else making changes to her work. Xie En convinces her to be a scriptwriter...

Xie En is upset after reuniting with her sons Eddy and Eden. She is reminded of the time when she gave up everything to pursue her career in America. She had planned to fix her family problems after obtaining her promotion. Little did she know that she would end up getting a divorced and separated from her sons. 谢恩重遇两个儿子Eddy和Eden，心情激动，想起自己当年为了事业放弃一切，以为在美国拼搏三年，回来升上高位后，可以再把家庭搞好。谁知计算错误，导致离婚，与两个儿子分开，想要挽救已经来不及。

Fei Er is elated when Jason returns to the TV station and takes on a show that she stars in. Her feelings for him grows. Jason requires Fei Er to take on an unattractive image for her new role. She accepts it even though she is unwilling. However, she is unhappy when she sees that Tong Lin's bright and beautiful image is a vast opposite from hers. Jason重回电视台，接手拍摄非儿主演的戏，令非儿很高兴，暗恋情愫继续滋生。Jason为了戏中角色更加真实，要非儿刻意扮丑。非儿心里虽然不愿意，但为了所爱的人，只好接受。

Yuan Ren and Tong Lin start filming a program that searches for long-lost friends and family members. The first episode features Zi Huai who seeks her father. Yuan Ren brings Zhao De to the broadcast station and reunites the father-daughter duo after evidential confirmation. Lin Tao deliberately brings Fei Er to the studio and she is shocked to witness the scene. 元仁和彤琳主持的《寻人启示》正式录影，首集播出子怀千里寻父的故事。元仁将赵德找到电视台，在证据确凿下让他和子怀父女相认。

Wei Yun tries to look for her missing mother, Ya Lian, at the school and bumps into Lin Tao. Lin Tao helps her to look for her mother and is shocked to know that Wei Yun's mother is actually his benefactor, Aunt Lian. It dawns onto Wei Yun that Lin Tao is her childhood playmate Da Tou. Lin Tao often bullied Wei Yun when they were young and so she mocks that he has indeed grown to be a big baddie. 薇芸到学校寻找走失的妈妈亚莲，意外遇到林韬。林韬帮她找到亚莲，并惊悉恩人莲姨原来就是薇芸的...

Jason turns on his computer to show his parents photos of Tong Lin and himself. A video of Fei Er and me exchanging a kiss pops up instead. He switches it off and deletes the clip. Jason suspects that Fei Er is behind this and confronts her. Fei Er denies but Jason is not convinced. Jason打开电脑，想让父母看他和彤琳的照片，不料开出来的却是他和非儿接吻的视频。Jason感震惊，急忙盖上电脑，将视频删除。他怀疑是非儿所为而质问她。非儿否认，但Jason不相信，令她深感痛心。

Qian Yi finds out that Yi Ming and Fei Er spent a night together in Australia. She dissuades Fei Er from dating him. Fei Er takes the hint and makes it clear that she will never fall for Yi Ming. Zi Huai finds out that Fei Er has a close relationship with her idol Yi Ming and is extremely unhappy about it. 倩怡得知一鸣和非儿在澳洲曾经共处一夜，于是暗示非儿不要和一鸣交往。非儿明白她的意思，表示她不会喜欢一鸣。子怀发现原来非儿和自己的偶像一鸣关系密切，更气得咬牙切齿。

Xie En intends to cast Fei Er in her blockbuster. Zi Huai pretends to be happy for Fei Er and tells Fei Er that Xie En would help to boost her fame. Fei Er is not feeling well and proceeds to the toilet to vomit. Zi Huai notices that it is a symptom of early depression. She is secretly pleased and reads out online criticisms to Fei Er to make her feel worse.

Zi Huai sees that Fei Er's mood is down and pretends to feel injustice. She does this to lure Fei Er into sharing her heartfelt thoughts. Fei Er finally opens up about the video and is upset about Jason's accusation. She finally breaks down, unhappy that Jason does not trust her. 子怀见非儿心情不好，故意用话刺激她，假意替她抱不平，套非儿对她说出心事。非儿终于说出视频的事，对Jason怀疑她始终耿耿于怀，没想到多年的交往并没有获得Jason的信任，忍不住痛哭失声。

Yi Ming is hotly pursued by the media since the appearance of Diana and her son. Qian Yi questions Diana for going back on her words after receiving a lump sum of money. Diana reveals that her child has a congenital illness and his days are numbered. She hopes for her child to receive his father's love before he leaves and decides to bring her son back ...

Chen Guang lures Zi Huai into revealing her revenge intentions through a game. She is resentful that Fei Er leads a good life while she suffered badly in Taiwan. She vows to make Fei Er lose everything. Chen Guan advises that her actions would only hurt Zhao De but he soon realizes that Zi Huai's hates Zhao De deeply. 陈光以玩游戏的方式，套出子怀回来的目的是为了报仇。子怀不满自己和非儿是同父同母所生，她在台湾吃尽苦头，非儿却在这里坐拥幸福，誓言要让非儿失去一切。陈光说子怀此举会让赵德伤心，却发现子怀对赵德怀有很深的恨意。

On Tong Lin and Jason's wedding day, Zi Huai secretly sends out the clip of Fei Er and Jason's kiss. Tong Lin questions Fei Er and Fei Er feels guilty. She finally admits to harbouring feelings for Jason still and it is painful to witness their marraige. Tong Lin is heartbroken. She slaps Fei Er, thinking that Fei Er has made use of her to get closer to Jason. Zi Huai secretly films this incident.

After much struggle and hesitation, Tong Lin decides to proceed with the wedding. Fei Er leaves abruptly. Her assistant warns her not to return home as the media will be waiting outside her house. Zi Huai encourages her otherwise, to face the media but ends up getting into a dispute with Fei Er's assistant. Yi Ming offers Fei Er to stay in his house for a few days. Zi Huai is awfully jealous.

Zi Huai scripts to intensify the depression conditions of Fei Er's role and reminds Fei Er not to collaborate with Yi Ming for his recent bad reputation. Unaware that Zi Huai wants to separate the both of them and Fei Er is thankful towards Zi Huai's concern. Fei Er explains to Tong Lin and Jason that she was not the one who sent out the kissing video. Both of them does not believe her...

Xie En chances upon a returned mail she previously sent out when searching through the storeroom. She recalls Chen Guang's words and his birth name. She feels that the latter has an ulterior motive for getting close to her family. She starts to feel uncomfortable and warns Eden not to get too chummy with Chen Guang. 谢恩在储藏室找东西时，偶然发现以前寄出去被打回来的信件，又想起陈光说过的话以及他的原名，恍然对方是有目的来接近自己和家人的，开始惶恐不安并疏远他，慎重告诫Eden不要再接近陈光。

Master Chen goes on a show while Wei Yun accompanies Shou Yi, touring around the TV station. Both of them are surprised to see Master Chen being surrounded by reporters. Lin Tao finds out that Master Chen is suffering from cancer and he deliberately releases this piece of information to boost ratings. Shou Yi is very displeased that Lin Tao reveals such a personal matter to boost ratings.

Zi Huai incorporates Fei Er and Zhao De's life story into her script. Fei Er is unable to comprehend her intentions. She finds the winter coat that Yi Ming gave her in Zi Huai's closet and becomes wary. Because the scenes in the show relate to Fei Er's past personal life, she is unable to continue. Yi Ming suspects that Fei Er has depression. 子怀把非儿和赵德生活上的事写在剧本里，非儿不解她的用意，过后非儿在子怀的衣橱里发现一鸣送给自己的冬装，开始怀疑她。由于剧本中的情节都是非儿经历的事，令她演不下去。一鸣从种种迹象，怀疑非儿得了忧郁症。
