Lin Ke Xin inherits her grandfather’s business empire much to her uncle Tang Wei Ye’s disdain. He collaborates with his daughter in-law Zheng Wan Yu to rebel against Ke Xin. Ke Xin faces immense pressure at work but finds solace in Jia Ming, the owner of a curry chicken eatery.

Da Zhong’s illness takes a turn for the worse. Li Lian wants Ke Xin to return from Shanghai soonest but Wei Ye deliberately bribes her assistant to delay her return to Singapore. Da Zhong and Wan Yu forge Da Zhong’s will and steals his thumbprint. Ke Xin exposes their act.

Ke Xin gets assaulted en route to Jia Ming’s eatery. Jia Ming saves her in the nick of time and brings the injured Ke Xin back to his eatery. Xiao Ning realises Jia Ming likes Ke Xin and pretends to be intimate with him to upset her.

Da Zhong calls for a family meeting and announces the distribution of his assets. Wei Ye kicks up a big fuss when Ke Xin inherits the lion’s share of his assets. Da Zhong reveals his greatest worry about Wei Ye inheriting his mother’s mental illness. Ke Xin reassures him that she will not abandon her family no matter what happens.

Ke Xin is upset when her business partner claims she is ruthless even to her family members. Ke Xin demands her staff to think of a solution and loses her temper when they are unable to. Jia Ming advises her not to make any enemies at work.

Jia Ming is disappointed when he thinks Ke Xin likes Zhou Dong. Ke Xin is nearly raped by Zhou Dong.

Fearing Wei Ye has inherited hereditary mental illness, Da Zhong entrusts Tang Group to Ke Xin. Ke Xin goes for a medical check-up and is diagnosed with hereditary mental illness. She is devastated.

Ke Xin is unconscious in the hospital after an overdose of sleeping pills. Da Zhong regrets causing Ke Xin to be under immense pressure by handing the company to her. Da Zhong suffers from a heart attack.

Wei Ye forbids Li Lian and her family to attend Da Zhong’s funeral. Ke Xin insists on paying her last respects much to Wei Ye’s displeasure. Jia Ming is worried about Ke Xin when she becomes emotionless after returning from the funeral parlour.

Jia Ming brings Ke Xin to the hilltop to cheer her up. Mistaking him for Zhou Dong, Ke Xin beats him up.

Wei Ye ridicules Ke Xin, calling her a maniac infront of everyone. Ke Xin pushes him down on the floor before rushing out of the hotel. Jia Ming, Ke Yi and Ke Xi find her at the columbarium. Ke Yi and Ke Xi hug her tightly, promising to be by her side no matter what happens.

Li Lian worries when Ke Xin’s condition takes a turn for the worse. Jia Ming suggests sending her to a psychological institution for counseling and treatment but Li Lian refuses to. Ke Xin suffers another blow when Wei Ye sues for her causing intentional malicious injury to him. Wei Ye snubs Ke Xi and Li Lian when they tried to persuade him to rest his charges.

Wei Ye starts showing signs of insanity. Suspecting him of inheriting the mental illness, Wan Yu secretly videos his antics to blackmail him. Wan Yu demands Wei Ye to transfer 30% of the company shares to her before he goes insane.

Xiao Ning accuses Ke Xin of being selfish by being together with Jia Ming as she might hurt him when she has an attack. Ke Xin breaks down under Xiao Ning’s intense interrogation. Xue Ping blurts out the truth to Ke Xin that she has in fact not inherited any mental illness.

Ke Xin refuses to believe Xue Ping when he tells her she does not have mental illness and decides to heck herself in for psychiatric treatment. Wei Ye hands a major project to Wan Yu and tells her he will transfer some of the company’s shares to her if she performs well.

Ke Xin finally believes Xue Ping when he produces evidence that Wei Ye and Wan Yu had led her to believe she has mental illness.

Xue Ping admits Wei Ye into a mental hospital when he becomes insane. Xue Ping is unhappy when Wan Yu begins to call the shots in the company. Wan Yu agrees to a divorce provided Xue Ping appoints her as the new CEO but he refuses to. Xue Ping hopes Ke Xin will return to the company to help him.

Ke Xin returns to work and clarifies with her employees on the false alarm on her mental illness. Unhappy with the turn in events, Wan Yu vents her frustration on Wei Ye. Wei Ye seeks revenge by jumping on Wan Yu while she is sleeping, causing her to be severely injured.

Ke Xin tenders her resignation and left home without a word. She leaves behind a letter, citing she is blackmailed by Zhou Dong into signing a contract and decides to leave in order not to implicate the company.
