Fang Zi Xin asks for forgiveness from Zhong Ling, the boss of Hope Training Centre, for accidentally causing the death of her husband years ago. After being released from prison, he decides to turn over a new leaf, but Zhong Ling is unappreciative of it. Hong Biao's sudden return shocked everyone. Together with him, is a woman who messed up the house. Da Cai chases them away, but Hong Biao claims that the woman, Bona, is their mother. Da Cai is doubtful, but lets her stay as she could not bear for her younger brother, Duo Duo, to be upset. However, she expresses that she will not acknowledge the woman as her mother.洪标突然出现，还带女人入住，把屋子弄得乱七八糟。大彩欲赶两人离开，洪标却说身边女人Bona是孩子们的母亲。大彩虽感疑惑，但不忍让弟弟多多难过，只好让她留下。。。

Ma Li urges Qian Bei to find a way to earn more money. Hong Biao and Bona persuade their children to buy into their investment plan. Qian Bei mocks that their cheating method is sloppily planned and casually suggests another "investment package". Everyone agrees that this method could work and proceeds to put on a show as planned. They successfully convince neighbours to join the investment plan.

Hong Biao and Bona cooked a meal to thank everyone, but Da Cai is unappreciative of it. Hong Biao and Qian Bei split the money they swindled from others and Bona also asks for her share. It turns out that she is not their mother! Zhong Ling returns home at night and cannot find Xiao Cong. Da Cai concludes that Zi Xin had kidnapped Xiao Cong, causing everyone to be anxious. Zhong Ling and Da Cai finally bump into Zi Xin, and demand him to return Xiao Cong to them. Zi Xin is furious that he is being misunderstood as a kidnapper. To prove his innocence, he brings the two women home to find Xiao Cong, but the latter is nowhere to be seen. Zi Xin takes Xiao Cong back to the training centre. With the police present, Xiao Cong is afraid of getting scolded and accuses Zi Xin of kidnapping him. Zi Xin is taken to the police station for investigation. Zhong Ling and the others probe Xiao Cong about the kidnapping. Unable to continue his lie, he admits that he had ran away from home. Xiao Rong's friend unknowingly gets filmed by the landlord. In her anger, Xiao Rong says all men are lecherous. It turns out that it is Xiao Chun, who claims she knows who secretly filmed it. The next day, Zhong Ling interrogates Albert, while Xiao Rong starts fanning the flames. ...

Duo Duo meets Jing Chu and is attracted to her smile. He finds out she is attending singing lessons and asks Da Cai to sign him up. Zhong Ling eats the bread she finds on the table, thinking it is from Albert. Later, she discovers that the bread is made by Zi Xin. Having been told that she had consumed the "spiked" bread, Zhong Ling is shaken. However, it is just a joke Zi Xin played on Zhong Ling. Through this incident, the two become closer. Zhong Ling gets Zi Xin to be a replacement teacher. Zi Xin is well-liked by the students with his humorous and interesting teaching style. Moreover, he knows how to do magic. Zhong Ling wants to invite him to continue teaching. Someone distributes flyers insinuating that Zi Xin is a murderer. Zi Xin's landlord is frightened and chases him out. Zi Xin thinks it is his past enemies' doing, but it is actually Albert's plan, in hopes that Zi Xin will have nowhere to go. However, the plan backfires. Zhong Ling finds red panties under a sofa in the staff room. Albert tries to hint that Zi Xin brought a woman back but Zhong Ling believes in Zi Xin. Albert's plan to frame Zi Xin fails and he is furious. Da Cai tells Zhong Ling that she saw Zi Xin bring a woman back to stay overnight. Worried that his plans to frame Zi Xin will be exposed, Albert tries to destroy the evidence. However, Xiao Rong incidentally sees it. Albert feels indignant after getting scolded by Zhong Ling. In his haste, he accidentally reveals that the flyer incident to ruin Zi Xin's reputation was also his doing. Zhong Ling fires Albert in anger. Duo Duo and Jing Chu head to the centre for a class. They grow closer and even go for coffee and games together. Meanwhile, Da Cai realises Duo Duo is not at work and goes looking for him. She eventually sees him with Jing Chu. Da Cai flies into a rage and tries to drag him away but Duo Duo resists. Da Cai is unable to comprehend Duo Duo's rebellious attitude. Later on, she finds out that this is actually Hong Biao and Bona's doing...

While working overtime, Zhong Ling heads to the staff room to get some water. She sees Zi Xin sleeping on the sofa and tries to cover him with a blanket. However, his wariness causes him to wake up with a start and subdue her in an instant, injuring her wrists. Zi Xin feels guilty and helps Zhong Ling apply medication. Duo Duo is upset that Hong Biao cheated Jing Chu of her money. Da Cai consoles him, explaining that she is worried Duo Duo's feelings will get hurt due to Jing Chu. Qian Bei feels that they are pondering over this too much - it is still unclear as to whether Jing Chu likes Duo Duo. Duo Duo acts on Qian Bei's tips and confesses his feelings to Jing Chu. It is revealed that Bona is not their mum. Da Cai tries to chase her out of the house. Hong Biao refuses, insisting the house belongs to him. He is prepared to fight with Da Cai and Qian Bei for the house. To make Da Cai and the others move out voluntarily, Hong Biao and Bona play music loudly and dance through the night. Qian Bei bumps into Fiona while out on a delivery errand and boasts that he is going to invest in the property market in the US. He fishes for her opinion. Si Mei hears it and immediately warns Fiona that Qian Bei is a con man and she shouldn't believe him. Fiona accuses Zhong Ling of murdering her brother and gets chased out of the training centre by the other employees. Zhong Ling laments that she is a jinx to her husbands and caused the death of Derek. The training center is splashed with loan shark graffiti slamming Zi Xin. Zi Xin admits his feelings for Zhong Ling. However, Zhong Ling does not have the courage to face her own, giving an excuse before leaving. Zhong Ling then reveals to Da Cai that she does indeed have feelings for Zi Xin but states that she will feel guilty towards Derek. After hearing this, Da Cai tells Zhong Ling that she should not be hanging around people like Zi Xin..自新决定面对自己喜欢钟灵的事实，但钟灵却不敢正视，借故离去。过后她向大彩承认她的确喜欢自新，只是觉得愧对Derek。大彩警告钟灵不要和自新这种人在一起。。

Zhong Ling receives an anonymous letter, implying that Zi Xin will hurt her and becomes unsettled. She is harassed by Ah Ming and Ah Cheng. Zi Xin appears in time and knocks them down. Zi Xin and Zhong Ling then confess their suppressed feelings to each other. They agree to try dating for three months without telling everybody else.钟灵接到匿名信，暗喻自新会伤害她，顿时感到心神不宁。她被阿明与阿诚恐吓，自新及时出现，把两人打倒。自新和钟灵终压抑不住自己的感情，向对方表白，两人同意先试行三个月地下情。

Zhong Ling is questioned by everyone on whether Zi Xin and she are dating. Zhong Ling denies it and runs into the classroom. Xiao Rong is shocked by Albert's divorce and him owing alimony. She sympathizes with Albert's situation and promises him to keep it a secret. However, she breaks her promise and tells Zhong Ling about it.
