Elias’s good friend, Nasir, is interested to match his daughter with Elias’s son, Iskandar, a vibrant and successful young man. Both Elias and Norain are happy with the proposal but Iskandar turns down the idea. Norjannah, his younger sister, suspects that Iskandar has someone in mind. Although Elias and Norain are willing to accept Iskandar’s choice, Iskandar, however, is not prepared to introduce his girlfriend, Emelina.

Elias informs his wife about his client, Dian, who sends her problematic nephew for counselling. Elias is delighted as the boy shows a tremendous behavioural improvement. To show her gratitude, Dian helps Elias to market his business potentials. Dian often visits Elias at home and hence, befriends Norain whom she regards as a sister. Norain is attracted to Dian and wishes she could be her daughter-in-law ...

The domesticated Norain who cares so much for her home and children, refuses to follow Elias to Bandung. Ashraf is relief as he could get Suraya to be close to Elias. Suraya, who is attracted to Elias, tries all ways and means to win his heart. When Norain finds out about it, she is worried. But she does not know how to confront her husband and suppress her feelings instead. Meanwhile, Elias’s relationship with Dian develops ...

Finally, Norain finds out about Elias with Dian. She is devastated as she never thinks Elias will look for other woman. Norain changes from a dutiful wife to someone rebellious and full of angst. Norjannah who is close to her mum, is badly affected. It affects her study and she learns to hang out with bad companies. Iskandar finds it hard to win Sabrina’s heart (his 5 yrs old step-daughter).

Emelina is shocked that Iskandar knows about Farhan’s visit. Iskandar warns her not to see Farhan anymore. Emelina explains that Farhan meets her because of Sabrina. A heated argument ensues and strains their relationship. Elias’s friends at the mosque shun him not because he wants to take a second wife but due to his secret relationship with Dian. Dian’s mother does not approve her relationship with a married man.

Fauziah encourages Norain not to listen to her husband who is unfaithful. Norain should seek happiness and put herself before others. Now, Norain becomes more fashionable and wears just a small scarf. Her sister, Shima, is upset and reprimands her. Norjannah is sad to see the changes in her mother and thus, sparks a quarrel between mother and daughter. It affects Norjannah real bad and eventually, she wants to discontinue her study ...

Conditions worsen at home when Norain does not sleep with Elias anymore. She keeps busy helping Fauziah at the spa. She spends less time at home. Iskandar gets disappointed when his effort to attract Sabrina’s attention fails. Instead, Sabrina longs to see Farhan more often. But Farhan does not turn up because Iskandar dislikes his presence. Sabrina throws her tantrum when Farhan stops visiting her.

Elias confides in Dian about his wife’s behavioural changes. Dian encourages him to divorce Norain. However, Elias thinks that Norain is not to be blamed and believes that he could coax Norain to turn over a new leaf. Dian is fed up with Elias. She threatens Elias that she will accept Najib if Elias is indecisive. Elias is worried to lose her. Emelina meets her father-in-law, Elias, to discuss her marital problem with Iskandar.

Finally, Elias decides to go ahead with the second marriage. Dian wants Elias to divorce Norain as she is in the way. Besides, Norain is no more an exemplary wife. Elias is torn. Iskandar and Norjannah are very disappointed with their father’s decision. Norjannah wants to go back to her wayward ways. Iskandar dissuades her. He advises her to remain strong. Norain is heart broken.

Norain is down with the disease. Dian is angry when Elias tries to mend his ties with Norain. Norain apologizes to Elias and thinks that God has punished her for her wrongdoings. Norain gives Elias her blessing to get a second wife. But Elias decides to cancel the marriage as he realizes Norain needs him more. Dian is heartbroken with his decision. She will make sure Elias will not live in peace.

Dian tells Norain that she has slept with Elias, in front of the children, Devastated, Norain chases Dian out of her house. Disappointed, Iskandar wants to confront his father. Norain tries to stop him but fails. As a result, Iskandar and Elias have a heated argument. Elias tries to convince him that Dian has lied to them but fails. On the other hand, Norjannah meets Dian, asking for the truth.

Norain’s condition worsens. Elias is frustrated as his family hates him even more now. One day, Elias looks for Dian’s mother, seeking her help to get Dian to tell the truth about their relationship with his family. Dian’s mother is shocked to understand what Dian has done to Elias’s family. Dian’s mother scolds Dian and feels shameful of her behaviour. Their relationship gets strained. One day, Sabrina sneaks out of her house to look for Farhan.

Ashraf has to leave the hospital as he could not stay any longer. Unwillingly, Ashraf’s wives take turn looking after him. It means he has to shift from one house to another everyday. Emelina and Iskandar search for Sabrina and finally find her lying at the hospital bed as she is involved in an accident. Iskandar and Emelina apologise to Farhan for what happens to his daughter.
