Make It Count
I don’t like it. I don’t get it. Is anything beyond the basics even necessary for real life? Few other subjects quite elicit equal amounts of fear and fascination like Mathematics. Math can be baffling, confusing and down right frustrating, if you don’t get it. But once you see how it works, you can’t help but be drawn to its beauty, elegance and allure. Make It Count is a programme that takes Math and applies it to everyday life. It seeks to remove its mystery and and help children (as well as their parents) to discover the joys of Math. Make It Count will show that we are living Math principles all the time without realising it and that there is more to Math than formulae and rote learning. Every week, DJs Joakim Gomez and Charmian Tan will help you discover one way Math can make it count. From winning at games to entertaining friends, succeeding in school, improving at sports, stretching your dollar, getting around town, enjoying art, appreciating Nature, and finding your way in the kitchen, the Math quirky duo will show you the power of numbers. If you have ever hated Math, ever been baffled by it, ever wanted to make sense of it, Make It Count is the programme for you!
