Being ill-tempered and ruthless, Karaket is loathed by her fiance, Det, and future mother-in-law. Unable to stand the sight of love rival Janwad fawning over Det, Karaket orders her servant to capsize Janwad's boat, but Janwad's maid is drowned instead. 佳拉洁性格暴躁、粗鄙狠毒，并不被未婚夫德特和未来婆婆喜欢。佳拉洁看不惯情敌珍华向德特频频献殷勤，决定采取手段，指使仆人去掀翻珍华的船，导致珍华的侍女落水身亡。

Det and his family suspect Karaket is the culprit. They decide to find out the truth. Ketsurang, who lives in the present, meets with a car accident, and wakes up in the past in Karaket's body. 德特一家怀疑佳拉洁是凶手，决定找出真相。身处现代的佳苏兰，遭遇一场车祸，灵魂穿越时空回到了古代，附在佳拉洁身上。

After travelling back in time, Ketsurang has to adjust herself to the new lifestyle. Her weird behaviour and strange way of talking baffle everyone. 穿越时空回到了古代的佳苏兰，生活充满挑战。佳苏兰行为、习惯、说话方式怪异，让众人觉得莫名其妙。

Ketsurang is worried after hearing about Karaket's cruel deeds in Det's house. On the other hand, Det starts to suspect her identity. 佳苏兰从仆人口中了解到佳拉洁在德特家中的种种残暴行为，不禁感到忧愁。另一方面，德特开始对她的身份产生怀疑。

Det takes Ketsurang out to a market on a boat. As an archaeology student, Ketsurang is excited to see the ancient city that she has studied. Det is surprised how knowledgeable she is. 佳苏兰和德特乘坐小船到市场，经过了很多古代名建筑。佳苏兰激动万分，没想到自己亲眼见到了教科书上的建筑。她向德特提了很多相关问题，让德特惊讶于她的博学。

Rueang tells Det that "Karaket" is the talk of the town. "Karaket" had reprimanded Phaulkon for bullying a civilian. Rueang is anxious to meet the brave lady, but Det claims that she is ugly. 朗恩告诉德特他听到的一个传闻，关于“佳拉洁”如何当街仗义直言，指责华尔康仗势欺人。当朗恩提出想见一见“佳拉洁”，德特却说她长相丑陋。

Det monitors "Karaket" and observes her weird behaviour and strange way of talking. He believes that she must be crazy. However, Det's father asserts that "Karaket" will get better. 德特观察“佳拉洁”，发现她行为怪异、说话颠三倒四，认为她一定是疯了。然而，德特父亲却坚信“佳拉洁”会逐渐恢复的。

Ketsurang is upset about the way she is being treated. On top of that, she also misses her mother and grandmother dearly. When Det sees her in tears, he sympathises with her, and encourages her to move on. 佳苏兰受尽委屈，再加上对母亲和外婆的思念，忍不住哭泣。德特看到她流泪，心生怜悯，开导她要懂得向前看。

Ketsurang chances upon Det's good friend, Rueang. She is very thrilled to see Rueang, who bears a striking resemblance to her good friend in the present day. 佳苏兰巧遇德特好友朗恩。因朗恩长得酷像她的现代好友，佳苏兰格外激动。

Both Ketsurang and Rueang chat amiably with each other, making Det feel very unhappy. Det's father tells Det that the King had listened to Phaulkon, and sent a team of ambassadors to France. However, the ship sank and nobody survived. 佳苏兰与朗恩相谈甚欢。德特目睹一切，心里不是滋味。德特父亲告诉德特，王上听取华尔康之言，派遣大使团前往法兰西。结果船只遇难，无一生还。

Phaulkon is infatuated by Mali and forces her to marry him. In order to restore Karaket's reputation, Ketsurang apologises to the servant Karaket has beaten before and also extends her friendship to Janwad. 华尔康看上茉莉，并强迫茉莉嫁给他。为了帮佳拉洁挽救名声，佳苏兰向被佳拉洁毒打的仆人道歉，更对珍华表示善意。

After dinner, Det and Janwad recite their self-composed poems. Ketsurang also recites a poem which she has learnt by heart, earning praises from everyone. Meanwhile in the present, Ketsurang's mother and grandmother mourn Ketsurang's death. 一席晚宴后，德特和珍华作诗赋词。佳苏兰念出一首背过的诗词，让大家刮目相看。另一边厢，佳苏兰母亲和外婆正在为佳苏兰的逝世而哀悼不已。

Ketsurang displays her culinary skills and cooks a feast. Even Det's mother couldn't resist the food. On the way back from the market, Det accidentally falls into the water. In order to save him, Ketsurang performs mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on him. 佳苏兰大显厨艺，做了一顿好菜。连德特母亲也吃得津津有味。德特带佳苏兰到市场定制新锅具。返程途中，德特不慎掉落水。为了救德特，佳苏兰对他做人工呼吸。

Ketsurang performs mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on Det in public. In order to preserve Ketsurang's reputation, Det tells his father of his intention to marry Ketsurang. Det's father suggests that they first enter into engagement. 佳苏兰在大庭广众下为德特做人工呼吸。为避免佳苏兰声誉受损，德特主动向父亲提出要娶佳苏兰。德特父亲于是建议德特和佳苏兰先订婚。

Det's father can tell that his son cares about Ketsurang. He promises to pick an auspicious date for their engagement as soon as possible. 尽管德特矢口否认，德特父亲还是看得出德特很关心佳苏兰。德特父亲答应尽快挑个良辰吉日让二人订婚。

Det brings Ketsurang to visit Mali. Ketsurang senses that Mali has feelings for Det. 德特带佳苏兰到茉莉家拜访她。佳苏兰觉察到茉莉对德特有好感。

Ketsurang purchased a water filter. She demonstrates the function of the water filter in front of a curious crowd in Det's house. She eagerly shows the water filter to Rueang. Det is upset to see them talking and laughing together. 佳苏兰特别订制了一个净水器，并在德特一家好奇围观下，示范了净水器的功能。朗恩到来，佳苏兰拉着他看净水器。远远看见佳苏兰和朗恩有说有笑，德特闷闷不乐。

Two thugs attempt to take liberties with Ketsurang, who retaliates and beats them up. Det's mother orders Ketsurang to be whipped for fighting with thugs. 佳苏兰被两名地痞流氓调戏而出手反击。德特母亲知道佳苏兰跟流氓打架，下令仆人抽打佳苏兰。

Det and Ketsurang attend a boat race. Det's attention is focused on Ketsurang the whole time, making Janwad realise that he does not care for her. 德特和佳苏兰去看赛船。德特全程关注佳苏兰，冷落了身旁的珍华。珍华这才意识到德特心里没有自己。

Ketsurang attends Mali and Phaulkon's wedding. Det and Ketsurang get into an argument and want to call off their engagement. 佳苏兰参加茉莉和华尔康的婚礼。德特和佳苏兰大吵一架，并扬言要解除婚约。

Some of Det's servants died of Malaria. Ketsurang educates the servants about the disease and buys them mosquito nets. 疟疾肆虐，德特家有数名仆人突然病逝。佳苏兰于是教导众人如何防蚊，而且每名仆人都获发一顶蚊帐。

King Narai adopts Phaulkon's suggestion to build a fortress. Kosa Lek is extremely displeased and disagrees with Phaulkon. Worried that Kosa Lek will hinder his plans, Phaulkon decides to act swiftly. 那莱王采纳了华尔康的意见，下令建造堡垒。歌莎勒对此非常不满，与华尔康出现分歧。华尔康担心计划受阻，决定先下手为强。

Phaulkon reports to King Narai that Kosa Lek has been accepting bribes. Kosa Lek is caned as a punishment. Not long after, he succumbs to his injuries and passes away. 华尔康向那莱王举报说歌莎勒受贿。歌莎勒被处以鞭刑，因伤势过重，不久便去世了。

Servant Prik thinks Ketsurang is pretending to be nice so that Det will want to marry her. Karaket's spirit is devastated about Ketsurang and Det's impending marriage. She wants to return to Det's side. 仆人阿碧觉得佳苏兰装好人，是为了让德特愿意娶她。佳拉洁的鬼魂得知佳苏兰即将嫁给德特，哭着说想回到德特身边。
