Kembara Kasih

Dalina's journey of love begins in one of the most difficult slums in the world - 'Ulingan' in Manila. Ulingan means "charcoal factory" and most residents make their living through illegal charcoal making. Here, children play, breathe, and work in smoggy conditions without protection and many are too poor to go to school. On their off-days, the children head over to the dumpsite to scavenge for "pag pag", which is fast food that does not decompose after being dumped. Dalina is thrown out of her comfort zone as she tries to encourage one little boy to go to school. Together with her fellow volunteer and mentor, Syahirah, Dalina makes her first attempt to do volunteer work in Manila.

Home is a safe haven and a comfort zone for most of us. A place to live with our families, enjoy companionship with friends and to build memories. But to some people, home is a luxury that they cannot afford. Without homes to go back to, they live under inhuman conditions and are exposed to unpleasant treatments. Kembara Kasih Season 5, returns with not 1, but 5 celebrity hosts. Together with their volunteers, they travel to Asian cities to discover more about the experiences of the homeless. They will witness people who have been neglected by society and shed light on other intricate social issues linked to homelessness. During their visits, the hosts and volunteers will serve the homeless communities through different initiatives and raise awareness about how decent living conditions are taken for granted. Through their journeys of love, we hope to bring new perspectives on the multi-faceted issue of homelessness to the audience.
