Holiday Gone Wrong
Do you read travel advisories before deciding on your next holiday? Do you consider buying the necessary travel insurance to get yourself, your loved ones, or your personal items covered? Do you ever think you might be the next unsuspecting victim of a holiday crime? Holiday Gone Wrong brings viewers through the stories of eight overseas holidays which had gone awry. Through re-enactments and interviews, victims share compelling first-hand accounts of their ordeals - of either being kidnapped, robbed, or scammed of their money and belongings. At the end of each episode, relevant spokespersons will share with viewers various precautionary measures one could take when caught in similar situations.

Esther and Eileen Ng are sisters who decided to travel to Siem Reap for a quick getaway in July 2013. It was both their first times in Cambodia, and as much as the sights and culture enthralled them, they were equally gripped by the state of poverty witnessed around them. As they struggled with their conscience and emotions, an incident with a young mother, her little girl and a milk powder tin decidedly changed the whole course of their holiday.

A thirst of adventure and a lack of knowledge in the Chinese language led her to two Chinese students, Xiao Yu and Ling, who kindly offered to help her out in her journey. As they became fast friends, the Chinese girls also gamely invited Claire to sample a piece of Chinese culture- the famous Beijing Teahouse.
