Choo Bee Lean, or Bee, encounters setbacks as she, with the help of neighbours Devi, Osman and Siti, turns her humble shop house into Fried Rice Paradise the Restaurant. Hanging over all this is a mystery. Was her mother’s death an accident, or something far more sinister? Like her late mother, Bee also wants to be a chef. The series follows Bee as she struggles to open her own restaurant to fulfil not only her and her mother’s dream. However, her arch enemy Rickson Goh, a nightclub owner, tries to force Bee, and everyone at Jalan Calamansi, to sell their properties to him in order to fulfil his entertainment hub dream. Can Bee and the community of Jalan Calamansi resist the schemes of Rickson?
