Olivia questions Da Hua if he is using the CD shop for money laundering. Da Hua admits to it and learns that he is being used by Simon. Wei Tang gathers evidence of Olivia's illegal acts and hands it to Simon, who then uses the evidence to force Yong Xi and Olivia to resign. The brand that the company originally secured a deal with changes their mind, and partners with a competitor instead. Olivia blames this on Jian Ting. He is suspected of leaking confidential business information. Only Ruo Qi believes in Jian Ting, and she finds out by chance that Wei Tang is the one who betrayed the company. She confronts Wei Tang directly but he works with Jie Xi to deceive her.

Ever since the night with Ruo Qi, Yong Xi finds it awkward to be around her. She tells him to forget about the encounter and to return to being friends. Yong Xi sees that her leg injury has not fully recovered and offers to send her home. He ends up forgetting about the dinner appointment that Olivia has arranged. Olivia flares up when she finds out the reason he failed to show up.

Ruo Qi appears vulnerable in front of Yong Xi, making him feel sorry for her. He cares extensively for her and Xin Ya takes pictures of their intimate interactions secretly. After seeing the photos and finding sexy lingerie in Yong Xi's car, Olivia confronts Ruo Qi and even hits her. Ruo Qi acts innocent and pretends to have an emotional breakdown. Yong Xi is at a loss of what to do.

Yong Xi exposes Ruo Qi for faking her leg injury and depression, and for intentionally sowing discord between him and Olivia. Ruo Qi admits that everything she has done had been in hopes of him returning to her side. It pains Yong Xi's heart to see Ruo Qi being scheming and he tells her that no matter what tricks she has up her sleeve, he will never go back to her.

Ruo Qi shows signs of pregnancy and words start to spread within the company about Yong Xi and her getting back together. Upon hearing the rumours, Yong Xi cannot help but to ask Ruo Qi if she really is pregnant. She makes Yong Xi believe that she is really pregnant, but expresses that she will abort the baby and not force him to be responsible for it, causing Yong Xi to be shocked.

Yong Xi is troubled by Ruo Qi's pregnancy. Titan asks about his plans, and Yong Xi replies that Ruo Qi is planning to abort the baby. Titan states that given her personality, it's unlikely she will do that, and will raise the child single-handedly, in which case Yong Xi will be put in a much more difficult position.
