100 Wishes
A fresh twist on the Genie lore, 100 WISHES is a heartwarming comedy series in the style of LILO & STITCH and MONSTERS INC. Cute, innocent and all-round imaginative Melanie Kong was walking home from school one day, when she sees a man crashing from the sky onto a football field. The man, dressed in a Genie's costume claims that he was an-all powerful Genie who was banished to Earth without his powers! The highly imaginative Melanie believes the "Genie's" story wholesale! Gene(Melanie simply threw the "i" away) then reveals that there is a way for him to retrieve his powers back and be an all-powerful Genie again: Grant 100 wishes in a row-- without using any of his magical powers. But despite his arrogance, Gene knows he can't function as a human being without any help and there is only one person in the world that will help him --Melanie. Melanie decides to help Gene in his wish-fulfilling quest! And so the odd couple sets out to fulfill the wishes of people around them. While once upon a time, a snap of his fingers can make the most amazing wishes come true; Gene now has to work hard in helping to fulfill the wishes of the people around him. Depending on the quick thinking, hard work and imagination of Melanie, the two of them set out on a quest to get Gene his powers back. In the course of his wish-fulfilling adventures, Gene will change, bringing out the worst and best in himself and soon finds himself emotionally invested in Melanie... But Melanie and Gene's wish-fulfilling days soon become complicated when Jaba, Gene's brother begins creating obstacles for them. Only by having Gene banished to Earth forever that Jaba can finally ascend to the throne of the Genie King.
