Jia Tian Xiong is an actor who is past his heyday and is now a calefare. He indulges in drinking and gambling. In a bid to pay off his debts, Tian Xiong is hired to find out the whereabouts of Yong Cheng. 贾天雄是个过气男演员，现在只能当个小咖喱菲武师混日子，过着烂赌酗酒、借债度日的生活。天雄为还债，被电影公司老板雷正聘请，要他追查永成夫妇的行踪。天雄混入永成妹妹佳宣的才艺中心当老师，认识中心老师曾开心。

Kai Xin finds out on her birthday that her father Guang Rong is not her biological father. Guang Rong looks for Kai Xin's real father behind her back. 开心在生日当天得知自己不是父亲光荣的亲生女，郁郁寡欢。她本想将自己的身世告诉男友Joseph，因对方心不在焉而作罢。光荣瞒着开心，帮她寻找亲生父亲。天雄被房东赶了出来，他在佳宣面前上演苦肉计，佳宣同情，暂时收留他。

Make-up artist Betty encourages Guang Rong to invest, citing her earnings as a motivation. Kai Xin's good friend Xiao Ming learns of her parentage and urges her boyfriend Joseph to take care of her. 电视台化妆师Betty通过投资公司赚了不少钱，鼓励光荣加入。光荣提醒她要小心，免得堕入骗局。开心的好友小明暗恋她，开心却不知情。小明从光荣口中得知开心的身世，不便告诉Joseph，只好提醒Joseph要多关心开心。

Guang Rong works as a calefare and meets Tian Xiong. He finds out that Tian Xiong is actually Tony, Kai Xin's biological father. 光荣去当临演，遇到也来当临演的天雄。他见天雄的言行举止像个流氓，对他留下极其恶劣的印象，不料过后却发现天雄就是他要找的Tony，也就是开心的亲生父亲，光荣犹如晴天霹雳！

Guang Rong tails Tian Xiong and is irate to find out he is a degenerate gambler. Xiao Ming procures Tian Xiong's DNA secretly for Guang Rong and finds out he is indeed Kai Xin's biological father 光荣跟踪天雄，发现他流连地下赌档、吊花场等地方，更感气愤。小明帮光荣暗中盗取天雄的DNA样本，检验后发现天雄确是开心的生父。光荣犹豫着是否该把报告烧毁，与小明商量之际，被开心发现，她对光荣坚持为她寻找生父感到不满。

Jia Xuan realises that her ring, given by her late boyfriend, is missing. Tian Xiong manages to find her ring but ends up pawning it after chalking up gambling losses. He lies to Jia Xuan that he could not find the ring. She ends up going out alone late at night to search for the ring. Tian Xiong is guilt-stricken for not returning the ring...佳宣发现已故男友留下的求婚戒指不见了，天雄自告奋勇帮她去找，他虽然找到，却在赌输钱后把戒指抵押掉，对佳宣谎称没有找到。佳宣自己去找，深夜不归。。。

Joseph and Kelly are on a work trip together. They ended up spending the night together after getting drunk. Remorseful, he apologises and makes it clear he loves only Kaixin. Kelly declares she is more suitable for him and will make him fall in love with her. Joseph和Kelly一起出差，两人醉酒后发生关系。事后Joseph后悔不已，向Kelly道歉，并表明态度，说他爱的人只有开心。Kelly心有不甘，表示不会放弃Joseph，一定会证明自己比开心更适合他。

Hao Hao tries to snatch Tang Tang's phone, which caused a chaos in the classroom. Jia Xuan ends up confiscating Tang Tang's phone and finds video footages of Tian Xiong teaching the kids to act as a loanshark. In shock, Jia Xuan fires Tian Xiong. 浩浩为了抢糖糖的手机来玩游戏而闹得鸡犬不宁，佳宣只好暂时保管糖糖的手机，却无意间在手机里发现天雄教孩子们演大耳窿的录像，以及他放任孩子们不管、自己呼呼大睡的画面，佳宣目瞪口呆，不得已将天雄辞退。

Guang Rong breaks the news to Tian Xiong that Kai Xin is actually his daughter. Guang Rong tells Tian Xiong that he probably has dementia and that is why he decided to let Tian Xiong take care of Kai Xin. Guang Rong hopes that Tian Xiong will start over and be a responsible father to Kai Xin to make up for the past.光荣告诉天雄，开心是他的女儿，天雄难以置信。光荣说自己可能得了失智症，才决定让天雄负起照顾开心的责任，希望天雄重新做人，做一个有担当的父亲，向开心赎罪，天雄苦恼不已。

Kai Xin bumps into Tian Xiong while visiting Eden. Tian Xiong is reminded of Guang Rong's advice to take note of his actions in front of Kai Xin. Tian Xiong shows his kind and caring side and left a good impression on Kai Xin. Guang Rong rents out the room to Tian Xiong to give him a chance to interact with Kai Xin. 开心到Eden家探访，遇到天雄。天雄想起光荣曾提醒他在开心面前要注意言行举止，于是展现出循规蹈矩、关心孩子的一面，令开心对他印象良好。光荣将房间租给天雄，让他有机会和开心接触，为天雄与开心相认铺路。

Joseph proposes to Kai Xin, making Kelly jealous. She deliberately lets Kai Xin witness her and Joseph going into a hotel together. Unaware of the situation, Joseph decides to buy Kai Xin a sports car to surprise her. Thinking that the gift arose from his guilt, Kai Xin slaps Joseph and mentions about Joseph and Kelly going to the hotel. Joseph attempts to clarify but to no avail. Joseph向开心求婚，Kelly嫉妒，故意布局，让开心误会Joseph和她上酒店开房，开心大受打击。Joseph不知就里...

Xiao Ming confronts Joseph for Kai Xin. Joseph explains that it was a trap set up by Kelly and maintains that he only loves Kai Xin. He asks Xiao Ming to mediate between him and Kai Xin. Xiao Ming plans a candlelight dinner for the two, allowing them to reconcile eventually. 小明为了开心而找Joseph算账，Joseph解释那是Kelly处心积虑设下的圈套，坚持自己只爱开心，希望小明充当和事佬，化解开心对他的误会。小明精心为两人安排烛光晚餐，终令两人和好。

Guang Rong gets cheated in his investment. He is troubled as neighbours suspect he is in cahoots with Betty and pressure him to return the money. Sympathising him, Xiao Ming agrees to fork out his own savings to save Guang Rong. Conversely, Tian Xiong wants Guang Rong to appeal to Joseph for help, but Guang Rong refuses as he is worried that he will be looked down upon by his future in-laws. 光荣投资被骗，还被邻里认为是Betty的同谋，要他承担众人的债务，令他烦恼不已。小明同情，答应把仅有...

Jia Xuan decides to look for her brother in Malacca after hearing that he was spotted there. To help Guang Rong repay his debts, Tian Xiong reveals Jia Xuan's whereabouts to Lei Zheng and receives $30,000 in exchange. Tian Xiong is unsettled after hearing that A-Wei has followed Jia Xuan to Malacca and decides to travel there to protect her. 佳宣听说哥哥在马六甲出现，决定去找他。天雄为了帮光荣还债，向雷正出卖佳宣的行踪，获取三万元，但事后却很过意不去。当他得知阿威也跟着佳宣去马六甲后，更感不安，决定尾随去保护她。

With Jia Xuan not at home, Guo Dong collapses from the exhaustion of taking care of his two grandchildren. He gets admitted to the hospital and Kai Xin has no choice but to bring the two children to her house. The children tease Xiao Ming and Kai Xin that they are a couple. Joseph overhears it and gets jealous, causing him and Kai Xin to quarrel.佳宣不在家，国栋照顾两个孙子倍感吃力，终不支晕倒，送入医院，开心只好将两个小孩带回家照顾。两个顽皮的小孩一来就把家里搞乱，还作弄小明和开心是一对情侣，刚好被Joseph听到，醋意顿生，为此和开心闹得不愉快

Guangrong is upset to learn Joseph is the father of Kelly’s baby. Joseph begs him to keep this a secret, and insists he was manipulated. He swears he loves only Kaixin. Guangrong is torn. Betty sells her flat to return the money owed to Guangrong and the neighbours. With nowhere to stay, she asks to put up at Guangrong’s place. He obliges unwillingly. Tianxiong shows up at Jiaxuan’s house...

Kai Xin makes up her mind to break up with Joseph for good. Tian Xiong convinces Jia Xuan that he is a changed man and manages to get her to re-hire him as a teacher. 开心决心和Joseph分手，托小明把求婚戒指退还给他。Joseph知道已经无法挽回，黯然收下。天雄决定重新做人，成功说服佳宣重新聘用他。天雄陪开心探望王叔，不料他一看到王叔，突然气愤地离去！

Kai Xin finds out that Tian Xiong is actually an orphan. He was adopted by Uncle Wang in the past and suffered abuse under his watch. 原来天雄是个孤儿，当年被王叔收养，却受尽他的虐待。开心得知天雄身世，对他心生怜悯。王叔的室友去世，他因有失智症，不适合独居，必须送去疗养院，但义工却找不到他的家人。开心和小明决定设法感化天雄，让他原谅王叔。

Someone pours paint at Jia Xuan. Tian Xiong saves her in the nick of time. He knows it was Lei Zheng behind this and looks for him. Lei Zheng warns Tian Xiong to stay out of his business.佳宣被人泼漆，幸好天雄机警相救。他知道是雷正所为，找他摊牌，请他不要再吓唬佳宣，因为她是无辜的，结果反被雷正警告不要与他作对。天雄心里越发忐忑，担心此事会连累开心。

Jia Xuan confesses her feelings to Tian Xiong. Tian Xiong accepts under one condition that no matter what he does in the future which make her unhappy, she must forgive him. 佳宣向天雄告白，天雄心情复杂，不知如何回答。开心开解，要他根据自己的感觉作选择。天雄确定自己的心意后，接受了佳宣，却和佳宣约法三章，要佳宣答应以后无论他做了什么让她伤心的事，一定要原谅他。

While heavily drunk, Tianxiong blurts out that he is Kaixin’s biological father. She is very upset. Unable to forgive him, she chases him out of the house. Tianxiong is staying at Xiaoming’s place temporarily. He tells Jiaxuan that Kaixin is his daughter. Jiaxuan is astounded. He tries his best to patch up with Kaixin but fails....

Yong Cheng sneaks back to Singapore and looks for Jia Xuan. She tells him that she has given the thumb drive to Tian Xiong. Yong Cheng suspects Tian Xiong is working for Lei Zhen, much to the shock of Jia Xuan.永成夫妇偷偷潜回国，来找佳宣，佳宣透露已经把永成的储存器交给天雄保管。永成焦急地透露天雄是雷正的人，特地埋伏在佳宣身边，也许已经把资料交给雷正，佳宣听了大受打击。永成说出雷正利用他洗黑钱的经过，佳宣恍然。

Hao Hao and Kai Xin are kidnapped by Ah Wei. Tian Xiong rushes to their aid. Worried for his safety, Jia Xuan calls the cops. Kai Xin finally forgives Tian Xiong, after seeing him risk his life for her.开心和浩浩被阿威绑架，天雄带着雷正的犯罪资料，单身匹马到货仓去救人。佳宣担心他的安危，悄悄报警。开心原本无法接受天雄为黑道做事，但见天雄为了救她而身受重伤，生命危在旦夕，终于原谅了他。

Afraid that he will not be forgiven for his mistakes, Tian Xiong pretends to suffer from amnesia. He is touched when Kai Xin bakes him a cake to help jog his memory.天雄苏醒，他担心大家不肯原谅他，只好假装失忆。开心特地做了鸡蛋糕，希望能唤起他的记忆。天雄感动，试探她是否原谅自己，表示愿意全心全意做个好爸爸。开心说好爸爸的首要条件是不能欺骗别人，天雄一时进退两难。
