Mandy is a rich housewife who goes around flaunting her wealth to other rich housewives. Her husband, Xie Zhi Hong, who is a lawyer, unexpectedly goes bankrupt and intends to run away with his mistress after selling all his properties. However, she finds out from his lawyer that he was bankrupt long ago and withdrew all his savings, only leaving a few hundred dollars in their joint account. Miao Miao, a private car driver, suspects that her son, Gui Qiang, is in an intimate relationship with George. She secretly follows him and almost collides into a motorbike midway. Mandy hears from her daughter, Xie Ying, that her boyfriend, Justin, is earning fast money through virtual currency investment. Mandy then decides to invest five thousand dollars to test waters and indeed earns a few thousand dollars. She then increases her investment to fifty thousand dollars and takes Xie Ying to shopping, buying branded shoes again so that people will not look down on her. Mandy从女儿谢颖处得知其男友Justin投资虚拟货币，短时间内就赚了钱。Mandy心动，决定拿出。。。

Mandy moves into a HDB flat to save expenses, and become flatmates with Dong Yu, and neighbours with her foe, Miao Miao and Si Jin, a single mother. Miao Miao gives Dong Yu curry but it was eaten by Mandy and her daughters. As a result, the three had to go to the clinic due to a diarrhoea, coincidentally meeting Miao Miao. Mandy felt embarrassed as Miao Miao ridiculed her for stealing the food. Mandy为节约开支，搬进组屋，不得已与东宇同屋共住，又与死对头淼淼和单亲妈妈思今成了邻居。。。

Xie Ying found out that her boyfriend, Justin, has a new lover and threatens to commit suicide. Fortunately, she was saved. Xie Ying pours her heart out to Mandy who feels sorry for her. Mandy, who has never approved of Justin, decides to make Justin and Celine embarrassed in front of their classmates at Justin's birthday party, which Celine had planned, in order to help her daughter. 谢颖发现男友Justin移情别恋，与Celine在一起而闹自杀，幸好被救回。谢颖向Mandy哭诉，Mandy感到心疼。。。

Gui Qiang overheard Si Jin's phone conversation with a friend and found out that she is going to look for her boyfriend. Feeling worried, he secretly follows her. Indeed, Si Jin runs into danger but was pulled away in time by Gui Qiang. He urge her to stop looking for her irresponsible boyfriend and hints that someone else might be waiting for her. Si Jin left feeling unhappy over Gui Qiang's criticism of her boyfriend. 贵强在电梯里听到思今与朋友通电话，得知她要去。。。

Gui Qiang apologises to Si Jin and asks her out for a meal, planning to confess with a gift. The two met Kai Wei's cousin, Qi Qi, on the way. Si Jin asked about Kai Wei, and learned that he had passed away in a car accident. Si Jin finds it unbelievable and insists that he must be her online friend who has constantly been encouraging her. Unable to hold back further, Gui Qiang then reveals himself as her online friend and that he had liked her...

Xie Ying heads down for a meal and meets a troubled-looking Gui Qiang. She opened up the box of jewellery that Gui Qiang is holding, noticing that it was the bracelet that she had asked him to buy. Finding out that Gui Qiang had been rejected by the girl he likes, she makes fun of him, causing Gui Qiang to lose his temper and leave, leaving the bracelet behind. 谢颖下楼吃饭，遇到心事重重的贵强，手里拿着首饰盒子。她好奇打开盒子来看，见是她之前叫贵强买的手链。谢颖得知贵强被喜欢的女人拒绝，有些幸灾乐祸地取笑他，贵强突然大发脾气。。。

Si Jin meets Gui Qiang who confesses to her again. Miao Miao overheard and unable to accept that Gui Qiang likes Si Jin, she gave Gui Qiang a beating at home. You Nian persuades Miao Miao that Gui Qiang's thoughts might change as he grows older. Si Jin swears that she will never get together with Gui Qiang, assuring Miao Miao. 思今遇到贵强，后者再次向她表白，被淼淼听见，才知贵强喜欢的人是思今，顿时无法接受，回家后怒打贵强。有年劝解，说等贵强年纪渐长，思想成熟后，想法可能会改变。思今也保证自己不可能和贵强在一起，淼淼感安心。

Dong Yu, Mandy and Xie Ning watch a magic show together. Dong Yu bumps into Jia Qi but did not have the courage to let her know of his presence, causing Mandy to feel strange. Instead of watching the show, he stares at Jia Qi who is playing the accompaniment. Mandy senses that Dong Yu knows Jia Qi and tries to test him by mentioning the time when Jia Qi lost her sight, causing him to get angry.

Mandy finds out that Dong Yu was a murderer and was shocked, wanting to chase him away by putting many fake lizards at home. A frightened Dong Yu starts to feel paranoid, causing Mandy to be secretly pleased. Her two daughters do not understand her actions, so Mandy showed them the news of Dong Yu killing someone in the past. Mandy发现东宇竟是杀人犯，非常震惊，想把他赶走，故意在家里放了许多假壁虎，东宇果然被吓得脸青唇白，疑神疑鬼，Mandy暗自得意。两个女儿不解妈妈为什么要这么做，Mandy只好将东宇曾经杀人的新闻给她们看。

Mandy starts to look for rich partners and finds out that hotel tycoon Jun Yuan often volunteers at an orphanage. Thus, she takes leave to volunteer there, pretending that it is a coincidence. Mandy accidentally causes Xiao Ming, an autistic child, to go missing and starts looking for him frantically. The reveal of her true feelings left a deep impression on Jun Yuan. She tells Jun Yuan that this is her favourite pair of heels and Jun Yuan offers a high price to bid for the shoes to give it back to Mandy and confesses to her. Jia Qi receives a call, telling her that her mother got into a car accident. Hoping to get to the scene as soon as possible, but unable to get a taxi, she asks Dong Yu for help. Upon arrival, Jia Qi was devastated to find out that her mother had already passed away. Jia Qi feels worse after finding out that her mother got into the accident while helping Jia Qi get her costume. Dong Yu comforts her.

Mandy comes back in a mess after her holiday. She originally went out to sea with Jun Yuan but was abandoned by him at a deserted island, having to row herself back painstakingly using a sampan. She looks for Jun Yuan and questions him. Jun Yuan points out that she can only blame herself and exposes her for her scheming actions in order to get closer to him and marry into a wealthy family... Mandy结束游艇假期，一身狼狈地回来。原来她与俊源出海逍遥，却被对方遗弃在荒岛，辛苦地独自划舢板回来。。。

Brandon infects a venereal disease from Mr Peh and vents his anger on Gui De, feeling unhappy that Gui De did not warn him. Gui De decides to teach Mr Peh a lesson and beats up Mr Peh together with a group of bad friends, landing himself in the police station. Shocked at what Gui De did, Miao Miao asks You Nian for help. Mandy's father, Ming Fa brings along reporters to look for Mandy trying to acknowledge her. Reporters suspect that Mandy changed her name to avoid him. Mandy panics and denies that she is Ming Fa's daughter, Liu Mei Jiao, while trying to shut the door. Ming Fa stops her, causing him to get hurt but Mandy ignores. Reporters put up a video of this situation online, scolding Mandy for being unfilial. Mandy的父亲明发带着记者找上门来，要与女儿相认，记者怀疑Mandy改名换姓，是为了躲避父亲。。

Si Jin reunites with Kai Wei who explains that when she was pregnant, Jin Quan objected to them so Kai Wei started a business overseas to earn more money to give Si Jin a better life. However, not knowing that he was used to transport drugs, Kai Wei sustains a leg injury and lands himself in jail. Dong Yu looks for Mandy's father, Ming Fa, to talk to him but sees a reporter passing him money donated by the readers instead. Dong Yu follows Ming Fa and sees that he immediately goes to the gambling den once he got the money. Dong Yu threatens Ming Fa with a video of him at the gambling den, Ming Fa then clarifies online that his daughter is not unfilial, Mandy feels grateful towards Dong Yu. 东宇去找Mandy的父亲明发，想和他谈谈，却见到记者正将读者捐的钱交给他。明发钱一到手，即刻到地。。。

Si Jin's mother, Bao Ling, returns from overseas and advises Jin Quan to stop objecting Kai Wei and Si Jin from being together, revealing his selfish motives for doing so. Jin Quan is worried that Si Jin, who has no blood relations with him would throw him aside. Xie Ying is pregnant and looks for Gui Qiang to discuss the matter, the two feel helpless. As the spokesperson for a cosmetics brand, Gui Qiang's manager hopes that he can keep a low profile, leaving him troubled. Xie Ying intends to give birth to the child but Gui Qiang does not know how to explain.
