Meet the matriarch of the family, Sakoonthala, and her husband Kaarmegam as they take their first steps into parenthood as they welcome their firstborn, Kanmani, and set up their dream home. Kanmani tries to convince her mother about the potential of making a living as a social media influencer, but the ever-traditional Sakoonthala is not keen on the idea, confiding in her husband that she wants to protect their daughter. Meanwhile, their second child Kannan is going through growing pains, and has an embarrassing close shave that Kaargemam tries to coach him through.

Kanmani and best friend Vanitha dive right into building Kanmani’s social media influencer persona, and Sakoonthala thoroughly disapproves. Sakoo finally confronts Kannan about where he got the $300 from, and Kannan tells her the truth, causing her to worry even further. Sakoo and Kanmani have a rare bonding moment, and Kanmani asks Sakoo to remove her ring as a way to move on from Kaarmegam.
