MasterChef Singapore
The world’s greatest cooking competition has arrived in Singapore to showcase our fabulous food and the talents of our best home cooks. The series is a celebration of our love for food, the joy it brings and the sense of togetherness that comes about through cooking for people and eating together. When applications opened, thousands of people bombarded the MasterChef Singapore website. 18 of the most talented amateur cooks were then invited to compete in a high-pressure cooking audition. Ten were rewarded with the opportunity to compete in the MasterChef kitchen, and go on to battle for the title of Singapore’s very first MasterChef. Three icons of Singapore’s culinary world will be guiding and judging the contestants as they face off in a series of ever-more challenging tests. There will be MasterChef classics like the Mystery Box and Pressure Test, as well as some never seen before challenges that will take the contestant’s breath away. There is an atmosphere that will accelerate the development of the contestants’ skills and lead to the creation of dishes that will be loved by judges and audiences alike. The contestants come from all walks of life, but one thing they share is a passion for cooking and a love of great food. They will draw upon the great cultural diversity of Singapore, as well as international trends and cuisines from around the world, to create dishes that we all want to eat, and even try cooking ourselves. For the Top 10, winning the title of MasterChef Singapore is the chance of a lifetime to change career and realize their food dreams.

Season 4 begins with the judges aboard the majestic Royal Albatross tall ship as they commemorate Singapore's spice trading past. They are bound for Resort World Sentosa where the Top 18 contestants, from all walks of life, are united by their dreams of a life-changing culinary career. This season each judge has personally chosen 6 home cooks to auditon for a MasterChef white apron. Over two rounds of cooking they will whittle their teams down to 4 contestants who will gain the right to cook in the MasterChef kitchen and have a shot at becoming the 2023 champion. In the first round the Judges choose ingredients for their team members to showcase one of their signature dishes. In the second round the judges choose a less-celibrated local ingredient that must be starred in a dish. Each judge believes they have within their team the home cook who will be crowned Singapore's MasterChef!

Singapore's Top 12 Home Cooks arrive in the MasterChef Kitchen for the very first time and are greeted by a special guest who has done it all before -Singapore's very own Sashi Cheliah. The bottom six face then face the very first mystery box- only this is no ordinary mystery box. They must cook with every part of each ingredient they use as well as use the box' itself.

In the gruelling elimination pressure test set by Michelin-starred Chef Malcolm Lee, famed for his Peranakan cuisine, contestants will have to recreate one of Chef Malcolm's dishes from the menu of his newest restaurant, Pangium.
