Liu Xiuyan is married to Hong Zhenyou, the son of SA Group's Chairperson Che Huaying. Although the couple married for love, Huaying refuses to accept Xiuyan as her daughter-in-law. 刘秀妍与SA集团会长车华英的儿子洪真优结婚。秀妍和丈夫感情很好，不过华英却始终不愿接受秀妍为她的媳妇。

Xiuyan almost gets into a collision with Jiang Donghe while driving home with Hong Zhenya, who is completely drunk. Donghe calls the police, thinking Xiuyan was drink driving. 秀妍去接喝醉了的洪真雅，但真雅不断在车上胡闹，害得秀妍差点和姜东河的车子对撞。东河误以为秀妍酒驾，硬是报警抓人，害得秀妍和真雅双双进了警局。

Zhenyou learns that Xiuyan's mother, Jin Huijing, has stomach cancer, but he keeps it from Xiuyan because of her pregnancy. 秀妍的母亲金惠京检查出罹患胃癌。真优担心秀妍会受到打击，要华英先别将此事告诉秀妍。

Huaying notices that Xu Youluo likes Zhenyou and decides to play matchmaker for them. She gives her ring to Youluo and also creates opportunities for them to be together. 华英看出徐侑萝喜欢真优，便将家传戒指送给侑萝，也让侑萝和真优出去约会，还拼命制造两人相处的机会。

Youluo frames Xiuyan and sabotages her at the launching event. She also locks Xiuyan in the back of a truck to prevent her from stealing the limelight. 侑萝暗地里破坏秀妍的上市秀，并趁机将秀妍锁在货柜车内，企图抢占秀妍的功劳。

The internet is filled with articles about Xiuyan's affair. Xiuyan denies fervently, but Huaying does not believe a word she said and kicks Xiuyan out of the house. 秀妍极力否认自己外遇，但不管她如何解释，华英都无法相信，坚持要把秀妍赶出家门。

Huaying stops the doctor from operating on Huijing. She uses Huijing's surgery as a means to force Xiuyan to sign the divorce papers. 惠京进了手术室，却因华英的阻拦而动不了手术。秀妍求华英让母亲开刀，华英却要秀妍先签字离婚。

Huaying and Youluo celebrate Zhenyou and Xiuyan's divorce. Huaying urges Youluo to try to win Zhenyou's heart. 华英成功逼秀妍答应离婚后，开心的和侑萝庆祝，还要侑萝尽快和真优在一起。

Xiuyan collapses on the street and is rushed to the hospital with Donghe's help. When Xiuyan wakes up from the operation, she is devastated to know that she has miscarried. 秀妍被逼离婚，大受打击，竟昏倒在路过的东河身上。东河将秀妍送医，等秀妍醒来，得知孩子已经流产，忍不住伤心痛哭。

Huaying wants to get a loan from Gao Meishu, but the latter finds excuses to decline. Donghe takes the opportunity to approach Zhenyou and feigns interest in investing in SA Group. 华英跑来找高美淑借钱，美淑找借口不肯借，逼得华英只好另外找人投资。东河趁机接近真优，假装有意投资，真优果然大感兴趣。

Liu Dacheng tries to find Zheng Taixun to prove Xiuyan's innocence. However, Taixun is nowhere to be found. 刘大成正积极寻找郑泰勋的下落，以证明秀妍的清白。虽然找到了泰勋的母亲，对方却否认认识泰勋。

Xiuyan is glad to know that Dacheng has found a way to allow her to meet her son. However, Xiuyan gets worried when Dacheng goes silent in the middle of a phone call. 秀妍开心得知大成好像查到了什么线索，能让她见到儿子。不过之后，秀妍开始心神不宁，她打电话给大成，大成却没接电话。

Xiuyan thinks someone murdered her father and tries to find evidence for the police to investigate. 大成过世，秀妍认为死因可疑，去警局报案，并申请验尸。

Xiuyan kicks up a storm at Zhenyou and Youluo's wedding ceremony. Xiuyan is detained by the police for her intrusion, and Huaying has no intention of dropping any charges. 真优和侑萝结婚当天，秀妍闯进婚礼现场大闹，让场面非常难堪。秀妍不仅和华英大吵，还当众甩了真优一巴掌，然后被抓进警局。

Xiuyan asks Meishu to help her get revenge on Huaying and Zhenyou. However, Meishu does not want to take such a big risk by helping her. 秀妍誓言要向华英复仇，求美淑帮忙，美淑非但不同意，还想赶走秀妍。

Huaying is unhappy to know that Xiuyan is Donghe's secretary. She demands Donghe to fire Xiuyan, or else she would find another investment company to work with. 东河带着秀妍来到华英的公司签约，华英要求东河解雇秀妍，否则就不愿签约，要另找投资公司。

Xiuyan risks her job and goes up against Youluo in a design contest for the senior manager position. 华英见东河找的设计师没出现，顺势要东河改找侑萝当组长，但东河却属意由秀妍担任组长一职，逼得华英只好答应让侑萝和秀妍公开比赛，来决定组长人选。

Xiuyan is certain that Youluo has copied her design. But she has trouble proving her innocence and is on the edge of getting fired from the company. 比赛当天，侑萝和秀妍都拿出了相同的设计图，侑萝坚称是秀妍偷了自己的设计，让秀妍百口莫辩。

Huijing is worried when she learns that Xiuyan is plotting revenge against Huaying. She wants Xiuyan to give up, but Xiuyan refuses. 惠京得知秀妍跑去华英公司上班，猜到秀妍的企图，担心秀妍会受伤，要秀妍放弃报仇，秀妍不肯，说要以牙还牙。

Hong Shujun visits SA Group, and Youluo leaves him locked up while she goes out for an hour. Later on, Youluo and Zhenyou are shocked when they find Shujun missing. 侑萝将洪书俊留在办公室内，自己跑出去办事情。侑萝回来不见书俊，在真优面前编谎，真优非常担心。

Youluo is enraged when she sees Zhenyou and Xiuyan hugging each other. She becomes jealous of Xiuyan and warns her to stay away from Zhenyou. 侑萝见真优和秀妍抱在一起，非常愤怒，即刻狠狠地斥责秀妍一番，之后更向华英告状。

Xiuyan publicly exposes Zhenya's true character by playing an audio recording of Zhenya reprimanding Lu Yingzhi. This sparks a public backlash against Zhenya. 在真雅的宣传大使委任仪式上，秀妍故意播放了真雅盛气凌人责骂卢英知的录音档。真雅因秀妍的爆料而颜面全失，就连华英也跟着丢脸。

Huaying is very upset when she learns that Xiuyan has taken Shujun away. Xiuyan finally gets to take Shujun home but discovers that Youluo has been doing awful things to Shujun. 华英得知书俊被秀妍接走，非常不满。之后，秀妍发现侑萝曾虐待过书俊，大为震惊。

Zhenya updates her social media with posts that she is serving homeless people food. Meishu and her brother, Gao Daizhe, get word that Zhenya is putting on a show and decide to expose the truth. 美淑得知真雅去关心露宿者的公益活动，根本是串通好的，索性和弟弟高代哲去搞破坏，让真雅又丢了一次脸，被迫公开道歉。
