Upon receiving a threatening letter, Dingtian's home catches fire mysteriously. Jianbang heeds Zhongqiu's advice and hires Rizheng to enhance their security measures. 定天收到恐吓信后家中离奇失火，建邦听从中秋建议聘请日正加强保安。

Rizheng observes a suspicious woman, You Zicheng, and later crosses paths with her at a charity event, where she approaches Dingtian, arousing his suspicions. 日正见神秘女子游子澄举止鬼祟，其后又在慈善拍卖会上再遇见她接近定天，觉得她很可疑。

Rizheng asks his colleague Fu Jun to look into the threatening letters Dingtian received. Their investigation takes them to a restaurant where they confirm the letters were sent by a woman. 日正托负责情报的同事符骏调查定天的恐吓信，追查至一间餐厅，也发现信件确实来自一个女人。

Tian Lixin wants to marry Rizheng, but Rizheng doesn't believe in marriage. 日正的女友谭丽欣欲与日正结婚，但日正却不相信婚姻。

Zicheng brings Gu Jianan back to her residence, revealing that her purpose in returning to Hong Kong is related to Rizheng. 子澄带好友顾迦南回居所，告之回香港的目的竟与日正有关。

Hongzhi believes that his car was damaged by Rizheng, so he recruits Rizheng's team members to join him. Rizheng is misunderstood by everyone but refuses to explain. 宏智认为车子被日正撞花，拉拢日正的组员到自己旗下。日正被众人误解却不屑解释。

Rizheng shows goodwill to subordinates, expressing a desire for team members to return. The team becomes more united after this incident. 日正向下属示好，更表示希望组员归队，组员经此事变得更团结。

Hongzhi damages Rizheng's phone, leading to Hongzhi losing the company car privilege. He then calls a shareholder meeting to force Riyue out of the company. 宏智故意弄坏日正的手机，日正令他失去公司车的使用权。宏智召开股东大会，欲逼建邦叫日正离开公司。

At the shareholders' meeting, Hongzhi pressures Jianbang to choose between him and Rizheng, but the decision unexpectedly changes, forcing Hongzhi to prepare to leave the company. 股东大会上，宏智逼建邦在他与日正之间二择其一，而决议关头却发生变卦，宏智只好预备离开公司。

Jianbang smoothly persuades Hongzhi to stay voluntarily. Hongzhi willingly gives up his larger office, and Rizheng officially leads the team. 建邦圆滑地令宏智自愿留下，宏智主动交出其较大的办公室，日正正式成部门主管。

Zhuoting and Chenglin are aware that Rizheng is tracking them, so they come up with a plan to convince Dingtian to promise not to send anyone to follow them again. 卓霆和成林知道日正在跟踪他们，于是他们决定设下一个局让定天答应不再派人跟踪他们。

Rizheng mistakenly drinks a beverage laced with drugs, falls down a hill and loses consciousness while pursuing Ziwei. Zicheng persists in searching for Rizheng. 日正误服子伟混入迷药的饮料，追截子伟时跌下山坡受伤晕倒。子澄契而不舍找寻日正。

Zicheng sets up a meeting with a female client for Rizheng without his permission, which prompts him to angrily reprimand Zicheng. 子澄擅自替日正约见一个女客户，日正竟为此痛骂子澄。

Feiyun leaves a letter from her mother for Zicheng to handle. After reading the letter, Zicheng decides to pass it on to Meizi. 飞云将母亲留下一封托给子澄处理。子澄看过信后决定把信转交美姿。

Rizheng wants to send a gift to Meizi but doesn't have her address. Fortunately, Zicheng remembers Meizi's phone number on her card, which touches Rizheng. Zicheng then kisses Rizheng. 日正想送礼物给美姿却没有她的地址，幸好子澄记得美姿卡片上的电话号码。日正感动，子澄亲日正。

Zhuoting and Chenglin plan to teach Shawn a lesson but are caught by Hongzhi and others. Rizheng steps in to help, and when Chenglin's mother calls him, Rizheng reveals Chenglin's actions to her. 卓霆和成林欲教训Shawn被宏智等人捉个正着。日正出手相救，成林的母亲致电成林时日正向她道出成林的所作所为。

Zicheng sees Lixin kissing Rizheng and asking for reconciliation while delivering wedding invitations to him. Later, Zicheng explains to Rizheng that her previous kiss was just a momentary impulse. 子澄目睹丽欣到保安公司找日正派喜帖时吻日正求复合。之后，子澄向日正表示自己之前亲吻他只是一时冲动……

Rizheng, following Feiyun's advice, boldly pursues Zicheng by sending her flowers. However, he discovers that Zicheng prefers live flowers. In his attempts to intercept the flower delivery, Zicheng catches him in the act. 日正听从飞云建议，大胆追求子澄，送花示爱，但是他听到子澄只喜欢有生命的鲜花，几经转折想要截停送花的人却被子澄碰见。

Zicheng tells Rizheng about her past marriage and child, which shocks him. When Rizheng later indicates acceptance, he is surprised to learn the identity of Zicheng's son. 子澄向日正坦言曾经结婚生子，日正震惊。待日正再找子澄表示自己能够接受此事时，又再震撼得知子澄儿子的身份。

Feiyun sees Yasheng in distress and forgets her phone while avoiding Gao Ruixiang at the security company. When Feiyun returns the phone to Yasheng, Yasheng recounts past events involving Ruixiang. 飞云在保安公司见雅生狼狈地躲避高瑞祥时忘了把手机带走。飞云归还手机给雅生时，雅生说出与瑞祥的往事。

Yasheng intends to compensate with money, asking Feiyun to deliver the cheque to Ruixiang. Feiyun, seeing Ruixiang's modest lifestyle and refusal to accept the cheque, instead donates it for charity, leaving a positive impression on Ruixiang. 雅生欲以金钱做补偿，请飞云将支票转交给瑞祥。飞云见瑞祥生活清贫仍坚持不接受支票反而将支票捐作公益用途因此对瑞祥留下好印象。

Ruixiang inadvertently reveals that Fujun transferred money to a mysterious woman, arousing suspicion in Yasheng, who then hires Ruixiang to investigate Fujun. 瑞祥无意中透露符骏转钱给神秘女人令雅生产生怀疑并聘请瑞祥调查符骏。

Yasheng misunderstands and blames Ruixiang for causing trouble between her and her husband, Fujun. Ruixiang reveals his true intentions by using old intimate photos to blackmail Yasheng. 雅生误会符骏，迁怒瑞祥挑拨离间夫妻关系。瑞祥露出本性，以昔日的亲密照片勒索雅生。

While Yasheng keeps Ruixiang occupied, Feiyun takes the opportunity to sneak into Ruixiang's home and steal his laptop, accidentally triggering the alarm system. 飞云趁雅生拖延瑞祥时，潜入瑞祥家偷电脑，意外触发警报系统。
