Throwback: Balik Kampong
3 Modern Families go back in time to live the primitive life, without proper running water, gas, electricity or telecommunication for 3 weeks! Besides having to survive a bare-bones village environment, our Families will compete in a series of challenges to earn their keep.

Digging your own toilets is no fun and the Families will struggle for sanitation sanity this week. Can the Azimullah family, made up of girls, build their toilets in time? Also, forget washing machines, our Families will scrub their laundry away on old-fashioned washboards. Back at their huts, the stress of kampong living is taking a toll on the children, and one of the Tan Family's kids breaks down.

Its back to the soil. The Families learn how to farm, and in the name of kampong spirit, all 3 Families combine forces to harvest the peanuts! On top of that, they must also loosen the stuborn soil and plant new crops. Its going to be back-breaking labour, and a great lesson to never waste food again!

No Facebook, no Twitter, no computer games. Our Families will indulge in other kinds of entertainment options – kampong style! There are no fancy department stores in the kampong, so they'll have to make their own toys. Our Families are also asked to huddle over a small radio to listen to a broadcast, and we'll reveal the reason later!
