Chef Qin Fen owns Wu Shuang Lou which people know for its Wu Shuang Yan. He has four apprentices: Fang Dong Bai, Qian Nan Hua, his daughter Qin Xi Hong and Zhou Bei Fa. After Qin Fen's death, each of them moves on with their endeavours. After Xi Hong inherits Wu Shuang Lou, it has not been doing well. Nan Hua's wife, Hui Ying, even opens Du Yi Wu Er opposite Wu Shuang Lou to compete with Xi Hong.

Bei Fa questions Hui Ying's intentions of starting her restaurant opposite Wu Shuang Lou and on Xi Hong's birthday. Hui Ying admits that it was to target Xi Hong. Bei Fa advises Hui Ying to let go of the past and help to speak on behalf of Qin Fen. However, Hui Ying does not sway, and even plans to steal the clients of Wu Shuang Lou - the travel agencies, despite already having more business.

The chefs at Wu Shuang Lou goes on a strike so no chef helps to prepare food for the tourists. Xi Hong demands the chefs to start work. Ah Mu and the other chefs begin negotiating with her over better terms, asking for an exorbitant demand which Xi Hong cannot accept so she fires them. She decides to cook for the tourists but the tour guide, Daniel, brings the tourists to Du Yi Wu Er instead.

Bei Fa teaches yoga at a community club. One of his students mentions that he is as handsome as her young cooking instructor and shows him a video. As Bei Fa is fearful of looking at cooking related videos, he runs out of the classroom. He forces his best friend to play mahjong to ease his emotions. In fact, Bei Fa becomes fearful of cooking due to a food poisoning case that happen years ago.

Seeing how Xi Hong was preparing the feast despite injuring herself yet unable to help, Bei Fa seeks help from senior Dong Bai. Dong Bai’s wife, Yan Fen disallow him to meddle with Wu Shuang Lou's matters as their eldest daughter, Ru Hua, is Hui Ying’s daughter-in-law. Dong Bai values loyalty so he pretends to listen to Yan Fen, but he and his youngest daughter, Si Yu, goes to help Wu Shuang Lou.

Bei Fa’s daughter, Min Ming, mentions that she will introduce the worst restaurant to the netizens. However, she compliments Xi Hong’s cooking abilities and also tastes Wu Shuang Lou's “Jin Bao Yin Bao Jin” fried rice. Her live video takes effect and attracts a bunch of elderly to Wu Shuang Lou for their fried rice. They even compliment Xi Hong’s cooking, causing Xi Hong to be eternally grateful.

The mysterious old man who dines at Wu Shuang Lou previously is an executive at an investment firm. He hopes to work with Xi Hong to expand Wu Shuang Lou into a franchise. However, he needs Xi Hong to invest twenty per cent of the capital. Bei Fa finds his old recipes which he wants to refer to while cooking. He becomes very stress after looking at the ingredients. Min Ming comes forward to help and the pair manages to cook up a feast. However, the taste of the food is not satisfactory. Min Ming meets Janice while attending an event. She realises that Janice is her fan who has helped her deal with Internet trolls. Both of them hit it off right away. When Bei Fa goes to find Xi Hong, he chances upon his wedding photo and leaves with it. Bei Fa's anger rises the more he looks at it and he rips his wedding photo apart to vent his anger. It turns out that Janice is Bei Fa's spouse.

Min Ming plans to bring Janice to Wu Shuang Lou to meet Xi Hong and Bei Fa but Janice comes up with an excuse to reject her. While they are talking, the topic of family comes up and Janice mentions that she wishes to have a daughter like Min Ming. Min Ming suggests that Janice can be her godmother, surprising Janice. Both of them exchanges tokens of love and their relationship improves even more.

Janice spots Bei Fa at the university and hurriedly finds an excuse to leave with Min Ming. Janice finds out from Min Ming that Bei Fa has nothing but compliments for his spouse, causing her to think that Bei Fa is unable to forget about her. When Bei Fa finds out that Min Ming's godmother is his ex-wife, not only is he shocked, but it also causes him to recall about the past.

Ruo Feng and Kim cook up a spread to welcome Hui Ying back from her business trip. Everyone praises Ruo Feng's cooking but Hui Ying reminds him that he should spend his time on something meaningful. As Ruo Feng and Hui Ying have differing views, Kim comes up with a solution. Kim encourages Ruo Feng to take part in a cooking show and Hui Ying has to acknowledge his skills if he emerges champion.
