Four women from different backgrounds share one thing in common, all have the Chinese character 'Le' (happiness) in their name.

Jinfeng welcomes Ya’le and is peeved when she asks to sell her mother’s 40 per cent share in the shop. Jinfeng complains about Ya’le to Jiaxiang and Cuilan. Her business rival, Ouyang Feng, overhears their conversation. Back in KL, Olivia takes Ya’le’s branded handbags in lieu of her salary. Ya’le goes to a pub and sees George there with another girl.

Yin Zhengkai may be the heir to Yin Holdings, but he is under the control of his sister, Zhengwen, and the board of directors. He sneaks out to have some fun and gets into trouble with a drunkard. Lexuan comes to his rescue, and he is attracted to her. Lexuan lives with her mother, Fengping, in KL, while her father, Jiaxiang, is in Singapore with his second wife, Cuilan.

Jiaxiang and Cuilan try hard to talk Leyao out of her relationship with Howard. Wentao helps Ya’le pay her hotel bill, but she is ungrateful. Ya’le decides to work in Jinfeng’s shop and create so much trouble that Jinfeng will give up on her. Jinfeng is not fooled. Ya’le shares Lin Le’s room and is unable to adapt. At work, she skives. While out on a photoshoot, Wentao loses his temper at her and she is stunned.

Lexuan sees Cuilan holding the broken music box and assumes the latter is the culprit. Weisong tells Lin Le he has fallen for Ya’le. Lin Le gives him encouragement. However, Ya’le flatly rejects Weisong. Weisong learns the music box was a gift from Lexuan’s mother.

Ya’le accepts Weisong’s apology. Wentao is shocked when Ya’le confronts a pervert in a public toilet. Lin Le refuses to tell Ya’le why Wentao is so afraid of seeing blood. Leyao returns home and finds out Lexuan is her half-sister. She assumes Lexuan has told on her, causing her to be scolded by Jiaxiang.

Lin Le sees Lexuan at a hotel and tips Weisong and Jiaxiang off. Lexuan gives Weisong and Jiaxiang the slip by leaving via the back door. Lexuan calls Zhengkai for help, as she is penniless. He puts her up in his hotel’s presidential suite and lends her money. Leyao manages to get into Zhengwen’s good books by staging a rescue attempt. She celebrates her victory with Ouyang Ming.

Jinfeng and the others hold a celebration and are surprised when Ya’le modestly gives credit to everyone else. She hands her a fake designer handbag; Ya’le is peeved. Noticing how serious Ya’le is about her work, Wentao explains why Jinfeng had refused to let her sell her shares in the shop. Ya’le is grateful for her guidance.

Lexuan gives Zhengkai a treat. He ends up being hospitalised. Unhappy, Zhengwen tells Lexuan not to see Zhengkai again. Business deteriorates after the Shanshan incident. Ya’le feels bad. Marco invites her to join his company. Leyao invites her to stay if she finds it awkward living with Jinfeng. Ya’le leaves and Jinfeng is heartbroken, but Wentao realises the opportunity is a good one for Ya’le.

Lin Le moves in with Leyao and Ya’le, hoping to gain some freedom. Ya’le visits Jinfeng at the shop. When Jinfeng expresses worries that Lin Le will be cheated, Ya’le urges her to give Lin Le a chance to learn how to take care of herself. Zhengwen arranges for Zhengkai to dine and attend a concert with Leyao. Zhengkai rushes off to meet Lexuan after the date.

Ya’le is upset Wentao does not turn up for their date. The next day, he tells her that he has decided to start over with Yiting. Zhengkai is stunned when, at a formal function, Zhengwen introduces Leyao as his girlfriend. He worries when Lexuan resigns and leaves the hotel. Just as Lin Le is enjoying her relationship with Star, the latter is fired by the restaurant.

Zhengkai presumes Zhengwen has decided to accept Lexuan when the latter asks to meet Lexuan. Jiaxiang and Weisong visit Lexuan at her new home. Zhengkai is helping her repair her tap,and Jiaxiang and Weisong jump to the conclusion her new boyfriend is a plumber. Jiaxiang urges Zhengkai to treat Lexuan well.

Zhengkai assumes Leyao is sincere about protecting him from Lexuan. He avoids Lexuan. Weisong tells him not to toy with his two sisters. Zhengwen needs to undergo surgery. She asks Leyao to accompany Zhengkai on a business trip to KL. Jinfeng puts up with Ouyang Feng’s insults and apologises to him.

In KL, Leyao lies that it is her birthday and wants Zhengkai to celebrate it with her. When he discovers her lie, he suspects that she also lied about Lexuan. Undaunted, Leyao shows him pictures of Lexuan and Wenlong and goes on about Lexuan’s decadent teenage years.

Lexuan and Wenlong return to Malaysia. Despite Zhengwen’s objections, Zhengkai insists on looking for Lexuan. Jiaxiang and Weisong call on Lexuan. Jiaxiang tries in vain to make her leave Wenlong. Lexuan rejects Zhengkai and tells Wenlong that she has broken up with him.

Jinfeng tears the letter without reading it when she discovers it is from her estranged husband. Ouyang Feng urges Lin Le to let Jinfeng read the torn letter. In the letter, the late Dacai had expressed his remorse and regret for having an affair and abandoning Jinfeng and Lin Le. The bank informs Ouyang Feng that he has not been servicing his mortgage.

Jinfeng gives Ya’le and Wentao a KL assignment; they are to take wedding photographs for a client. Wentao is about to tell Ya’le how he feels when Yiting’s message confuses him. Ouyang Ming makes amends by working multiple jobs to raise the money for his debts. Leyao quits her job and becomes a purchaser at a clothing company.

Wentao and Weisong encourage Ouyang Ming to express his feelings for Leyao. Howard turns up; he and Shareen have divorced and he is hoping to reconcile with Leyao. Ouyang Ming is pleased when Leyao accepts him instead. To get him to leave Lexuan, Zhengwen forces Zhengkai to go on long leave. Lexuan urges Zhengkai not to fight head-on with his sister. Wentao and Ya’le stop Xiaorou from becoming a prostitue to earn cash for Xiaokang.

Ouyang Ming is worried about how to earn more money to marry Leyao. A good deed helps the Ouyangs win the third prize in the lottery. Wentao is unable to perform to his usual standard during the tournament because he is haunted by a past accident.

Leyao is remorseful about badmouthing Lexuan, which indirectly resulted in the tragedy. She decides to become a vegetarian and wants Ouyang Ming to follow suit. Zhengwen is filled with pity for Zhengkai, who is increasingly frail on account of Lexuan.
