Student: Jade Lim, 17 School: Temasek Junior College Jade was a silver medallist and captain of the Swim Team at the last ASEAN School Games. Despite sustaining various injuries such as a torn ankle ligament and a slipped disc in recent years, Jade has been driven and unwavering in her pursuit for excellence. Any athlete will know the challenges and difficulties experienced while training through injuries but the experiences have made Jade more tenacious and resilient in the process. It is indeed an honour for Jade to be able to represent Singapore Schools and be the torch bearer in this year’s ASG. As this is Jade’s fourth ASG, she is definitely looking forward to meeting her friends, not only from participating countries, but also her fellow athletes in the other sports.
